May 2nd, 2020

Uh-oh, the truth comes out... Niko and Madalyn met through Tinder! We swiped right on each other on May 2nd, 2020, then he sent the first message later that day!

June 6th, 2020

After texting, calling, and facetiming each other constantly for over a month, we finally got to meet in person in June!

WE MEET IRL!

August 15th, 2020

After Madalyn moved to Winona for college, Niko decided to make things official. He asked her to be his girlfriend on top of Garvin Heights Lookout Point and gave her a cute little necklace - awwwww!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

August 28th, 2020

When you know - you know! On August 28th of 2020, we exchanged out first "I love yous!"

September 28th, 2020

By now, things were getting serious so it was time for Niko to face Papa Weston! Madalyn, Niko, Weston, and Miriah met for lunch at Mangos Mexican Restaurant. (Niko was SO nervous)

PARENTS!

IN 2021...

We discovered how much we love to go camping together - and went A LOT!

Played on a slowpitch softball team together! The team wasn't very good, but we sure did have a great time!

Saw THE Toby Keith perform at Ashley for the Arts! He put on an AMAZING show, we lost our voices from screaming the songs so loud!

Niko bought a house! Although Madalyn doesn't move in until a few years later, this house will eventually become our first home together!

IN 2022...

WE ADOPTED A KITTEN! Her name is Opal and we love her so so insanely much. If you know us, you know how much this day changed our lives - we love being cat parents so much and absolutely adore our sweet Opal girl.

Niko got to join the Glasbrenner's for his first annual ski trip! We skied Jackson Hole Resort in Wyoming.

Went to a Packer game at Lambeau Field! This was Madalyn's first game!

IN 2023...

We went back to Lambeau to see Rodgers throw his last game as a Packer.

We absolutely shredded at Alta and Snowbird in Utah!

We were in a long-distance relationship for 4 months while Madalyn worked as a soil-scientist in Montana.

Niko started his career as a Sprinkler Fitter for Ahern! He loves what he does!

Madalyn and Opal moved into Niko's house once Maddy got done with her backpacking work in Montana!

IN 2024...

We skied Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado.

We went on a camping trip in the Rocky Mountains! Plus we went to the Denver Rock & Mineral show while there!

We went on an amazing canoe trip with some of our pals. There was a meteor shower one night so we laid out under the stars for hours counting shooting stars - it was incredibly beatiful.

Madalyn graduated from college with a degree in Geoscience: Geology and minors in Computer Science and Sustainability. She later bagged her job as a Fluvial Geomorphologist and absolutely loves it!

IN 2025...

We skied Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado - again! While on this trip Niko asked Weston for his blessing!

We slept on a sandbar with our buddies the weekend of the 4th of July. It was a crazy fun weekend!

We explored Washington DC together and visited all of the famous monuments and museums!

After years - Niko finally got Madalyn out duck hunting! She loves it, so now we get to share this hobby together too!

July 24th, 2025

Niko (with the help of family and friends) was able to successfully pull off the surprise of a lifetime! On top of Brady's Bluff in Perrot State Park he asked Madalyn to marry him!! She was absolutely SHOCKED and couldn't stop crying. Check out some of our engagement photos below :)
